The Rio Metro Regional Transit District is committed to encouraging the use of alternative modes of transportation in order to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in central New Mexico.
Our Smart Business Partnership Program provides employers from Belen to Santa Fe with resources, tools and incentives to reduce the use of single occupant vehicles and create awareness of public transportation among employees.
Becoming a Smart Business Partner makes your organization a more attractive place to work, can save your organization money and helps the environment. It also makes it easier for your employees to get to work while spending less time and money stuck in traffic.
Businesses can become Gold, Silver or Bronze Level Smart Business Partners. We can help you determine the right combination of commuter benefits for your organization. Employers who participate will receive rewards as well as recognition for being a Smart Business Partner.
Rewards include recognition, free advertising, discounted transit passes for employees and more.
The March 2015 Featured Smart Business Partner is AMERIND Risk.
AMERIND Risk became a Silver Level partner in 2011. They promote the use of alternative transportation among their employees in several ways, including providing bicycle racks, carpooling, and allowing flex time. In addition, Rio Metro has a bus stop at their location on the Santa Ana Pueblo, with three stops daily, and provides information tables during their employee health fairs.
AMERIND, which employs approximately 50 people, is the only 100% Tribally owned and operated insurance carrier in Indian Country. AMERIND provides insurance for homeowners and renters as well as property, liability and workers’ compensation insurance for Tribes. Thank you AMERIND Risk, for being a great Smart Business Partner.
