The Rio Metro Regional Transit District is committed to encouraging the use of alternative modes of transportation in order to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in central New Mexico.
Our Smart Business Partnership Program provides employers from Belen to Santa Fe with resources, tools and incentives to reduce the use of single occupant vehicles and create awareness of public transportation among employees.
Becoming a Smart Business Partner makes your organization a more attractive place to work, can save your organization money and helps the environment. It also makes it easier for your employees to get to work while spending less time and money stuck in traffic.
Businesses can become Gold, Silver or Bronze Level Smart Business Partners. We can help you determine the right combination of commuter benefits for your organization. Employers who participate will receive rewards as well as recognition for being a Smart Business Partner.
Rewards include recognition, free advertising, discounted transit passes for employees and more.
July 2015: Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
A Bronze Level Smart Business Partner (SBP) since February 2013, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC) is a world-class museum and cultural center located in the historic Albuquerque Indian School District. The IPCC is a proud supporter of the New Mexico Rail Runner Express, and promotes the use of the train and other types of alternative transportation to both their visitors and employees. In addition to promoting the train to everyone that passes through their doors, they also have bicycle racks for their 170 employees and an ABQ RIDE bus shelter located right across from the entrance. The museum offers an exciting schedule of cultural and community activities, and is home to a top-rated restaurant. Thank you to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center for being a great Smart Business Partner!
