Rio Metro Wins National and Regional Marketing Awards

swta-awards-2013The Rio Metro Regional Transit District took home a total of eleven marketing awards this fall from national and regional competitions, including top honors from both the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and the Southwest Transit Association (SWTA). Rio Metro was presented with a total of five awards from APTA during the annual conference in Chicago, IL, including the Grand Prize in the Campaign Category for the Next Generation of Riders campaign. At the SWTA conference in Tucson, AZ, Rio Metro accepted a total of six awards, including the all-around Spotlight Award for Public Transportation Marketing Excellence 2013.

Transit districts from all across the U.S. competed for the prestigious APTA awards. Rio Metro competed with eight southwestern states, including Transit Districts in Texas, Arizona and Colorado, for the SWTA marketing awards. In addition to top honors, Rio Metro took home awards for print, electronic and social media, website and overall campaign.
