Rio Metro Wins Six International Awards

comm-award-multipleThe International Academy of Visual Arts honored Rio Metro with six marketing awards in May 2014. With over 6,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals.

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of Visual Arts, a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.  Current membership represents a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms including:  AirType Studio, Condè Nast, Disney, Keller Crescent, Lockheed Martin, Monster.com, MTV, rabble+rouser, Time Inc., Tribal DDB, Yahoo!, and many others.

Gold Communicator Award - Safety Category

Rail Safety Campaign - TV spots used to promote safety around railroad tracks.  This campaign was in partnership with the New Mexico Department of Transportation. 

Gold Communicator Award - Print Category

Rail Advertising Brochure - Brochure used for presentations to clients interested in advertising on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.

Gold Communicator Award - Public Service Category

“You Can” TV Spot - Commercial used to give people an idea of what they can do with the money they’ve saved by using the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.  Ridership increased by 3.6% during the campaign.

Silver Communicator Award - Integrated Campaign Category

“You Can” Campaign - Mixed media campaign to show people what they can do with the money they’ve saved by using the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.  Ridership increased by 3.6% during the campaign.

Silver Communicator Award - Social Responsibility Category
