Late Night Trains and Combo Ticket for Zozobra

zozobra web 2017Say good-bye to summer on Friday, September 1, 2017 at New Mexico’s hottest party, the 93rd Burning of Zozobra at Fort Marcy Park in Santa Fe! The New Mexico Rail Runner Express will adjust the train schedule to allow people to attend the event. This year, passengers purchasing their Zozobra tickets online in advance will also have the option to add on the purchase of a Rail Runner ticket at the same time, providing an extra level of convenience from those traveling from south of Santa Fe.

 

 

Zozobra & Rail Runner Combo Ticket

This year, various of levels of tickets will be available online for the Burning of Zozobra. These levels include:

  • General Admission
  • Express Check-In
  • Premium Viewing (4 levels of premium viewing tickets available)

When purchasing any of the above Zozobra tickets online, you will have the option to add on a Rail Runner ticket.

Pricing for the Rail Runner Combo Ticket

  • Ages 11 & Up: $10* (covers all zones of travel round-trip)
  • Children 10 & Under: Free

How to Purchase

  • Zozobra admission & Rail Runner Combo Tickets must be purchased in advance online
  • Sales for the Combo Tickets are effective now through September 1, 2017
  • All riders must have a ticket to board the New Mexico Rail Runner Express**

**Riders can still buy a (regular) Rail Runner ticket, and then purchase a Zozobra ticket at the event gate.

No Refunds: If the Burning of Zozobra is cancelled, a refund will not be issued. However, the Combo Ticket is still valid for travel on the Rail Runner to any station and back on September 1, 2017.

Getting to Zozobra

  • Exit the train at the South Capitol Station and take a free shuttle to the event
  • It is recommended to be at the station platform at least 10 minutes prior to the train departure time

Returning on the Train

There will not be a 9 p.m. train departure*** from the Santa Fe Depot on this night. Instead, two trains will depart from the South Capitol Station. These trains will NOT service the Santa Fe Depot.

  • After Zozobra, catch a free shuttle to the South Capitol Station. The shuttle will be located on Paseo de Peralta near Grant Ave.
  • The first train will depart at 11:05 p.m. and the second one at 11:25 p.m. The Rail Runner will wait for the last bus to arrive with passengers before departing.

***Please Note: Train #521 Southbound will now depart 2 hours later at 11:05 p.m. from the South Capitol Station.

How to Enjoy Your Experience at the Burning of Zozobra

Is food and drink allowed into the venue?
Yes, but no coolers, glass containers or water bottles.

There are over 20 different food vendors onsite. Bottled water, sodas, and candy products will also be available.

Are pets allowed?
No, only service animals.

Are lawn chairs allowed?
No metal framed lawn chairs, but umbrella-style lawn chairs are allowed.

Are strollers allowed on the train and at the event?
Strollers are allowed on the train, but not on the field. They can be checked in at stroller check on Mager's Field before proceeding into the ball park/main viewing area.  

Are backpacks allowed?
Backpacks are not allowed.

Is alcohol allowed on the train?
Alcohol is prohibited on the train.

Will there be shuttles that are ADA accessible?
Yes.

Will the Rail Runner Customer Service be open late for questions?
Customer Service will be open on September 1 until 12 mid-night.
