“All the world’s a stage.” So said William Shakespeare. And this summer, the New Mexico Rail Runner Express is once again turning into a stage.
Since 2010, a small team of local actors has been bringing Shakespeare scenes onto the Rail Runner every June. Fun props and street clothes help bring these short comedic scenes to life. Unable to perform between 2020 and 2022, Shakespeare on the Rail is very excited to return to performances each Saturday in June.

The performances are family-friendly, while enhancing the experience of riding to patrons.
Directing Shakespeare on the Rail is Bill Berg, the director for the New Mexico Shakespeare Festival education and outreach program. Part of this outreach includes this site-specific Shakespeare project aboard the Rail Runner.
