Rio Rancho / Corrales Dial-a-Ride
NOTICE: Effective March 17, 2020, all Rio Metro bus and Dial-a-Ride services are fare-free until further notice.
About
Rio Rancho / Corrales Dial-a-Ride is a weekday door-to-door transportation service for Rio Rancho and Village of Corrales residents 62 years of age and older, and for disabled adults 18 years of age and older. This service is for Rio Rancho and Village of Corrales residents only and you must be registered to use the service.
Children up to age 17 can ride with any eligible rider. Riders and children will be picked up and dropped off at the same location.
Service Area
- Rio Rancho city limits
- Village of Corrales city limits
- Albuquerque (for medical appointments only): One morning trip to Albuquerque and one afternoon trip to Rio Rancho daily. Call for details.
- Cottonwood Mall Area (Includes the Northwest Transit Center): Riders are limited to 6 bags per person, and are responsible for loading and unloading their own bags.
Eligibility
In order to receive service, all Dial-a-Ride passengers must complete an application form and be a Rio Rancho or Village of Corrales resident, with a physical address in Rio Rancho or Village of Corrales. Staff will ask for proof of residence, i.e. driver's license, checks, any utility bills.

Complete and return your application to the Rio Metro Sandoval County Office along with proof of residence (see the Eligibility section above for documents that will be accepted for proof of residence).

Passengers can pay with cash or check (exact fare only) or a credit card (credit cards can only be taken at the Meadowlark Senior Center location).

Active Duty Military and Veterans that show one of the following forms of ID ride free: a VHIC or VA medical card, a veteran’s ID (VIC card), a driver’s license with a veteran’s designation, Department of Defense Active Duty & Dependent Military IDs, and the NMRX Freedom Pass. - Reservations are accepted between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Let reservationist know if you will have a child riding with you and the age of the child (child car seats are required for all children age 6 and younger and must be provided by rider)
Bus schedules fill up quickly, so it is best to call several days in advance to schedule your ride. Reservations are accepted up to two weeks in advance.
